What is the London Arts Festival?
The London Arts Festival began in 2006 with a simple goal: to bring together national and international artists with London's art-loving public. The festival was an immediate success and has become one of the largest and most prestigious arts festival in the country, attracting more than 13,000 art lovers last year.

The London Arts Foundation – a non-profit organization with a small staff of a team of many volunteers.

How do you choose the artists who perform?
The London Arts Festival is made up of numerous elements. Each element is managed by its own team and chooses their programme. Contact each element to find out how selections are made.

Do you fly artists in from around the world?
The London Arts Festival has a limited travel and accommodations bursary, but most often we book artists who are planning tours in UK and can include London Arts Festival in their tour schedule.

How do I find out about events so that I can decide which nights to go, who to see, etc.?

Why is the schedule “always subject to change” – why don’t you publish the performance details sooner?
Several years of running the London Arts Festival has taught us that when dozens of artists have to travel from all parts of the world, anything can happen. It’s actually rare that we don’t have some kind of cancellation (everything from late airplanes, to hurricanes, to emergency surgeries), and when that happens, the schedule changes somewhat. Rather than publish a schedule a month early – knowing that it’s highly likely that something might change – we now have a tentative schedule posted on our web about a month out. The final schedule is made official two weeks before the festival starts. Last-minute changes are also posted on the web. (We hate schedule changes as much as fans do, by the way.)

Why don’t you include more events in the festival?
We are constantly adding elements to our festival programme, and our volunteer team is working as hard as it can to create the biggest and most inclusive festival we can.
